MPF RNR Team in Action! The North Face at Bear, Rock The Ridge 50, an FKT, a Jog and some Pizza...
It was a another big weekend of racing for the team with The North Face Endurance Challenge visiting the great trails of Bear Mountain & Harriman State Park of New York, as well as the Rock the Ridge 50 Mile Endurance Challenge set in the beautiful Mohonk Preserve of New York! These 2 great races really showcase the beauty and diversity of the New York parks and trail systems.
Iain Ridgway set a new FKT on the Four States Traverse in a time of 7:29! This FKT is 43 miles with 6,500ft elevation gain running along the Appalachian trail from the Mason-Dixon Line in PA, going through MD, WV and finishing at the VA border.
Ben Nephew, won and broke his own course record by a couple of minutes at the Rock The Ridge 50 Mile Endurance Challenge! His winning time was 5:56, a 7:07 pace on course with over 6,500 feet of elevation gain!
Silas Carey placed 2nd at The North Face 50k Endurance Challenge in Bear Mountain New York! Besting his time from last year by 22 minutes!
Amy Hanlon battled through some low points during the TNF 50k but bounced back and came through the finish line strong, placing 3rd in her age group and 25th overall!
Ryan Welts found himself out for a nice little jog at the 5th annual Mount Agamenticus 50k, placing 2nd!
Jason Friedman won the Pizza Challenge Fun Run and Len Huffman completed his 6th TNF 1/2 Marathon! It was a weekend full of great weather and adventure! We hope everyone found some time to get outside!
