The Whiteface Sky Running Weekend is organized by Red Newt Racing and includes 2 very challenging races that are part of the US Skyrunner Series

Whiteface sits on more true vertical gain than all but 14 other ski resorts in North America and more than any resort east of the Rockies. From its sharp and exposed form to an entrance lined with the rings and flags of the world telling of its place in past and current Olympic activity, Whiteface is iconic. Whether you're keen on throwing down w/ some of the best mountain runners in the world for US Sky Running points, or whether you're just up for a beautiful weekend in the ADK's, the resort and the town of Wilmington will provide the pitch perfect venue for an amazing weekend of hard efforts, awesome experiences, and the wonderful community which defines the best of trail running. Red Newt Racing, Whiteface Mountain, and the town of Wilmington are stoked to have you.

The 3rd running of the Whiteface Vertical K takes place tomorrow morning (Saturday, July 8th)! Here is a little footage from last years race to help prepare you for the 3,300 feet of ascent in 2.4 miles!

The Whiteface Sky Races are happening this weekend! The weather forecast is just as expected, sunny, clouds, rain & t-storms. Here is our lastest video from last years Sky Run (15.2 miles with 8,000 ft of gain). Enjoy!

It was an epic weekend in the Adirondacks of New York! Red Newt Racing was in town with the inaugural running of the Whiteface Vertical K on Saturday and the Marathon on Sunday. The VK has you starting from the base of Whiteface Mountain and running straight to the top in 2.5 miles with 3,300 feet of gain! This is a video of Saturdays Vertical K, the calm before the storm... Hope you enjoy and we will see you out there next year!

The 2015 Whiteface Sky Marathon had a bit of an added challenge with the torrential downpours the night before and throughout the day. Runners were in knee deep mud at times and battling 50+mph winds near the summit. It was truly an epic day for the runners, race directors, the Whiteface staff and all of the volunteers. Looking forward to seeing what the 2016 race has in store...
