Exercise Highlight 18: 1 Arm Bent Over Row Supported

With todays exercise highlight we take a look at a great pulling exercise that will help strengthen your back, core and posture. There are many variations and progressions so before practicing this exercise, make sure that you are familiar with a basic standing row using a band or cable, click here. You will also want to be able to hip hinge properly as shown in this video, click here.

You can use a kettlebell or dumbbell for the 1 Arm Bent Over Row Supported. Practice with light to moderate weight at first. You want to feel the body working together to support you as you drive the row. Keep your core engaged throughout.

Strength & conditioning training for pulling exercises such as the one shown in this video are essential for everyone. This is an intermediate level exercise that we only prescribe if you can get into a strong healthy position and have no spine issues, pain or injuries to the area.
