Saranac Lake, NY was the 1st city in the US to host the World Snowshoe Championships! We are very excited to have witnessed this event and had several athletes from the MPF RNR Trail Running Team competing.
The weather conditions were less than ideal going from freezing temps to around 60 degrees on race day, then shortly after the race, returning to freezing temps with several inches of snow. This extreme weather change caused some panic but the community came together to be sure the event went off without a hitch!
Here are a few photos of the team, with the full photo gallery of over 100 photos from the day posted soon. Photos by Joe Azze / MPF
Thank you and congrats to everyone who toed the line and all who were behind the scenes of this great event!
