Julian - Witnessing my wife train for and complete the Boston Marathon in 2006 is what inspired me to run. I soon started pounding the pavement and training for shorter distance events, building my fitness level to complete my first marathon in 2008. After years of suffering from asthma & eating anything in sight, I gradually transitioned to a plant based diet in 2009 and discovered a new level of endurance, recovery, fitness and health. Discovering the trails in my backyard at Ramapo Reservation & Norvin Green have become part of my daily routine and I can’t get enough of what nature’s playground has to offer. I’m looking forward to another great season of fast races, peaceful long runs, plenty of sweat and many new friendships. The Mountain Peak Fitness / Red Newt Racing Team motivates & enables me to always adventure!
