I survived the 1st annual Grindstone 100 mile endurance run held over the weekend of Oct 3rd in Swoope, Virginia. The race course started at Camp Shenandoah boy scout camp and proceeded 50 miles through the George Washington National Forest.

Escarpment 30k Trail Running Race. On July 27th, 2008 I participated in a 30km (18.6) mile trail run in Windham, NY. I’ve was feeling a little sick prior to the race so I knew this was going to be more of a challenge for me. I haven’t raced in a while but I have been training consistently so I was eager to feel the energy of pushing myself a little harder than if I were on a training run.

April 29th, 2008 Joe and I headed to San Francisco on a mini vacation that we planned around a race called the Miwok 100k. This race takes place in one of the most beautiful parts of California. The race starts at the Marin Headlands/Golden Gate National Park and travels through the magnificent redwoods to the shores of the pacific.

We headed up to MA for a two day road race this past weekend. Saturday's road race was in Sturbridge and consisted of 3 laps, totaling 55 + miles. Each lap took us up a real solid climb with a few false flats that allowed you to really hammer up it.

Training run on the TNF Bear Mountain 50 course, 3/10/2008
On Sunday My client Paul and I headed out to Harriman State Park to go for a long training run on the Bear Mountain 50 mile course. This course and race is part of the North Face Challenge. We started at the first visitor center off of seven lakes drive which is the mile 25 check point and preceded to run for 9 solid hours.

Today at 6:30am the gun went off and the 4th New York City Spring Road Cycling Series started! It was a cold morning with temps hovering around 20 with the wind making things feel a bit more frigid. Despite the temps. there was around 200+ cyclist that turned out for the races to test their legs and see just how well their winter training went.
