We found a hidden gem of an event at the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Albert in Canada! This event offers four challenging races and we went to tackle the 165k. Congratulations to MPF athlete Karl Loops for placing 3rd overall! Checkout more from the UTMA, including photos from the race. 

The trail and atmospheric conditions this year at Manitou's Revenge were challenging to say the least, with hot, humid air, and slick rocks giving us runners an even greater challenge than usual. Instead of a race report this time, I decided to try a gear report. I figure if those conditions were not tough enough to test some gear, I don’t know what would be.

Jared Burdick will be competing in the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run this Saturday! In his lead up to race weekend, Jared writes about his training for the WS100 and how his race went at the Lake Sonoma 50 where he received the Golden Ticket!

During Memorial Day weekend this year, the Mountain Peak Fitness / Red Newt Racing Team made their way up to the White Mountains of New Hampshire to complete the 18.8 mile Presidential Traverse. 

ou have to embrace the darkness to get to the light. There have been a lot of big changes in my life since my last race report, which was for Grindstone 100. I pretty much had a walk through Hell at Grindstone, as my marriage was coming to an end amongst other things. Trudging through pouring rain mostly alone for 30 hours or so gives a person way too much time to think....

Ben Nephew was back for another go at this years Cayuga Trails 50 Mile Run in Ithaca, New York! Here is how his race went.

Today was Global Running Day so we hope you had the opportunity to get outside and run around a little. Also, in our Clients in Action feature, a father & son team are in Ecuador adventuring and shared a few photos. 

Another inspiring weekend on the trail racing scene! We were on site at the beautiful Cayuga Trails 50 Mile & Marathon in Ithaca, NY. A 50 mile USATF National Trail Championship event. Congratulations to MPF RNR team members & everyone who shared in the beauty of trails this weekend.

To celebrate our fallen soldiers and to those that are currently serving, we chose to head to the state that carries the slogan "Live Free or Die", New Hampshire. We spent time giving thanks by hiking the iconic Presidential Traverse.

Ben is I’m always interested in challenging new routes, and has been especially interested in new FKT routes in CT & MA that are accessible for months longer than trails up north so he found himself the South Taconic Trail along with the AT that gave him a challenging route of 27 miles with about 8,000 feet of gain and some amazing views!

Ben Nephew was back for a 3rd year and win # 3 at the Breakneck Marathon but the return of Adam Russell after his 2nd place to Ben last year had different thoughts about how the race would turn out...

It's always an adventure at Breakneck! This was my 3rd year capturing the event and I look forward to it each and every year! In the past I took both videos and stills but this year I just focused on pausing a single moment of some amazing athletes out enjoying their adventure.
