Trail Building Opportunity's: It's Time to Give Back!

If you love the trails as much as we do, please consider getting involved with the events below. Our trails need your help.

We recently finished marking/remarking a section of Norvin Green State Forest in NJ. We plan to take on many trail projects with the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference, if you would like to get involved please let us know. If you can't join us, please consider getting involved with your local trail maintainers. Once you get involved you'll appreciate the work it takes to keep a trail system alive & efficient.

Additional Opportunities to Help:

  • The July 22-23rd weekend at The Lake Treman Trail, Upper Buttermilk Falls State Park in New York

Ian Golden of Red Newt Racing & Finger Lakes Running Company in conjunction with the parks department has created a trail workshop weekend.

This two-day workshop will allow you to learn trail construction and basic carpentry techniques while working with the Finger Lakes Park's trail building staff on some much needed improvements to our local park trail systems. Projects will include erosion control and trail drainage improvements, step construction, and bridge building. No prior experience is necessary. Follow the Red Newt Racing FB page for more details. All are welcome.

  • Dirty Thursday's in Ringwood State Park, NJ

This is a weekly work session each Thursday afternoon/evening for the next several weeks. Meeting place is the Ringwood Manor at 4:00pm. For more information visit Jersey Off Road Bicycle Association.
