Saranac Lake, NY was the 1st city in the US to host the World Snowshoe Championships! We were very excited to have witnessed this event and had several athletes from the MPF RNR Trail Running Team competing. The weather conditions were less than ideal going from freezing temps to around 60 degrees on race day, then shortly after the race, returning to freezing temps with several inches of snow. This extreme weather change caused some panic but the community came together to be sure the event went off without a hitch!
