Below you will find some of the nations most popular ultra's which have many requirements and a stringent application processes. Most of them do require a substantial running or cycling resume along with prerequisites of having completed a 50 or a100 mile races. Due to the rise in popularity and forest service permits, the amount of runners or cyclist allowed to participate in any given event canbe small to preserve the trails, so set your goals early and register sooner rather then later. Even if you have to wait up to 3 years to be accepted to a specific race, why not? Having a goal set in the future will keep you motivated. Take a look, select a race, register and get on your way to completing a life changing event.
