About Hiking
Just what is hiking? It sounds the same as walking but couldn't be more different and more rewarding in so many ways. Hiking mostly takes place on well maintained and marked trails that are moderate to extremely challenging. You will at times be crossing streams, climbing over boulders and down trees while heading up steep climbs and down harrowing descents. We also offer guided hikes that are geared towards a much different approach, that will take place on calmer trails, which are less physically demanding but the experience just as rewarding. We explore the parks & forests high regions, reaching awe inspiring mountain top views. We venture out on the thousands of miles of trails the East Coast has to offer and will use a map & compass to guide our way. We offer beginner, intermediate & advanced hiking options with hikes ranging from 1 hour to 10 hours and beyond. As Exercise
The goal of everyone's day is to eat healthy, colorful foods; which equals clean & efficient energy to burn. One as well must follow the path of getting proper rest and minimizing or eliminating unnecessary stresses, while effectively stimulating the mind and body through sound exercises and movements. Our mind, body and spirit crave the feeling of moving freely and unbounded, which leads down the path to overall wellness.Hiking can help get you there! The freedom of the trails offer one of the best modes of exercise and natural movements that we were born to do. Of course you will burn energy and lots of it (which means calories burned = eliminating stored fat, which = long lasting weight loss & health!), but this is just the beginning of the benefits that you will be rewarded with when you do venture out on the trails and make hiking a part of your life.

Many of us run around each day battling traffic or rushing to catch the train, some have to deal with deadlines and endless meetings, others have the responsibility of a family; either way, we are all under tremendous pressures and have the need to bring balance into our lives. The stability of one's body and mind will fend off the negative impact that stress can have on you. Everyone will encounter many battles along the way but we must not allow it to wear us down. Challenging yourself & Exploring your Limits! - We will allow you to challenge yourself to see just how far you can go. Physical and mental limits are just there for a beginning, as a general guide. You will have an idea of what you might be capable of accomplishing but we will be sure to push your limits above and beyond what you ever thought possible. A new world of possibilities will come forth and you will want more. We will guide you but it will be up to you to take on the challenge to explore your limits.
A Chance to be immersed in Nature - To walk amongst the trees, to stand upon some of the oldest rocks in the world, to watch deer run gracefully through the lands, to feel the cold water of a stream, to hear the sounds of trees swaying in the breeze and to feel the wildness around you; yes you will truly be immersed in nature and free from it all...
Quieting the Mind... - "To many mind" The words from the Samurai hit deeply. Minds chatter endlessly, keeping us from the moment and from perfect balance. In order to be fully engaged in what arises in any moment, you must quiet the mind. The perfect place to do so is within the vast woodlands, where nothing but what lies around you and before you is sensed.
