Running and adventure has always been a way of life for me. I have been a personal trainer and coach for 13 years, and an adventure athlete for as long as I can remember. I have dedicated my life to fitness and the outdoors. As a coach, my goal is to make sure my clients accomplish their goals and to help them achieve higher levels of health and fitness through a no-nonsense outdoors approach. It has been great guiding my clients through their success stories and helping them take on healthier and more effective lifestyles. I have worked with many of my clients goals, from 5k’s all the way up to 100 mile trail ultramarthons. I found that for me, running is not about competing with others, it is really about competing with yourself, both as a person and as an athlete. My clients give me the energy and motivation to give it my all.

Q & A with Joe...
How long have you been a Trainer and Coach?
I have been a trainer/coach for the past 14 years. For 5 of those years I was a manager at two major health clubs where I developed staffs of over 30 personal trainers. What I enjoy the most is working one on one with clients and watching them change their lives for the better. Its powerful seeing someone accomplish things they never thought possible before.
As a dedicated Athlete, what sports do you currently train for?
Currently I am training at the Pro Level in XC Mountain Biking and Ultra-Endurance events such as 100 mile Mountain Bike Races, racing for Team Campmor. I also compete on the road for Team Blue Ribbon-Translations.com and challenge myself to some Adventure Racing as well.
Mentally what keeps you motivated?
I have a passion and love for what I do. I go to bed at night restless because I can’t wait until the morning to get my day started. The feeling and rewards I gain from challenging myself to dig deep, gives me the strength and courage that I need to help others to do the same.
What have you learned from your clients?
That no matter how busy anyone's life can get, you need to always make sure that you take the necessary steps to create a healthy lifestyle for yourself. By taking care of yourself, puts you in a powerful position to have a positive impact on others.
How did Mountain Peak Fitness come about?
Elizabeth and I were thinking about how we can reach more people and get the message out, that a healthy lifestyle with a bit of adventure is a must! That exploring your limits makes you feel more alive and opens to door to new opportunities. So we sat down, drew up a plan and our love of the mountains, trails and the outdoors was the driving force in Mountain Peak Fitness. We need to step away from our comforts, challenge ourselves to a little adventure and get outside where we can truly explore.
Mountain Peak Fitness is a personal training, coaching and adventure company based in the New York, New Jersey area. We design progressive training programs for endurance sports, sport specific ambitions, adventures, weight management and wellness.
Joe and I have a combined experience of over 25 years in the fitness industry. We have been working with people one on one and in small groups for a long time. As outdoor enthusiasts and athletes ourselves, we began to realize what our clients and people in general were missing; the outdoors. The outdoors offers an energy needed in the lives of everyone. We both thought to ourselves if we could only bottle this, how can we give this to our clients and show more people the need to be outside. Our lives have become so consumed with mass marketing, tv, commuting, work, the daily comforts, etc., Mountain Peak Fitness was born.
Always Adventure...
